From then until 1st February you were in charge of the

Whilst I ma at camp, after three
days, on my fourth day, I received a menange from the hand office infortaing me that there were some urgent mirnates of
importance for me to deal withhe I got permission and moceeded
into town and found the mirates required my going out in my
oor visiting most points at which we proposed to have other offices or control. I asked permission to do this work and
I was told by the Adjutant that I had best do it when I had
no Volunteer duties. I was a quartermaster and my dutics were
mostly at meal hours. The other day, the result of this was
brought to my notice: I who prosented with a bill by my 0.0. for (26.86, representing the cost of one blanket and one mo8- quito net reported lost! I was doing two jobs at one time.

I think I could make the atatement that I found a record vas
kept but not a record which brought everything to the point.

great at the time that I had to concentrate on one part and leave
one part, for instance, the receiving side; otherwise I would

Was there a record, for instance, of all permit fees which had
boon received from the moment dealing with the public bogan?
That I have not been able to ascertain. I went there and
found the deposit section required all my time and it still docß.
